Basics of French to English translation, including translation of real world texts, document terminology, identify translation strategies and tools, research parallel texts, proofreading and editing.

Prerequisites: graduate standing in Translation Program or consent of instructor.

Course Rules: FRENCH 706 and TRNSLTN 706 are jointly offered and count as repeats of one another. Counts as a repeat of FRENCH 415(425) or TRNSLTN 415(425) if taken for graduate credit.
